Would a certificate in dental assistance be enough to get me a job at a professional dentist office, not a doc in a box? Then I would like to become a dental hygienist. I currently have an associates degree in Culinary and BS in Culinary management. Please give me as much info as you can.
O, and I am male. Would that help or hurt me in a job interview. I know that I will be in a professional environment, but people will be poeple and there are not alot of males in this profession.

What are the best uses for tarragon?

I just bought some for one recipe, but I’m not going to be using the whole jar. What else could I use tarragon for? And while you’re at it, if you’re an herb and spice culinary expert, could you tell me some uses for other spices and herbs? Basil and oregano are my two favorites, particularly because I know they’re typically used in Italian cooking. I love Italian! Other than that, I got a whole slew of herbs/spices in my kitchen and don’t really know what to use them for!! Sometimes I experiment with my eggs in the morning. Today, I used tarragon and dried onions along with my regulars: salt and pepper. The other day I used some cooking sherry, old bay seasoning, minced dried garlic and onions and my regulars. It was pretty good.

So, any tips on other herbs/spices?

What High School Classes Should I Be Taking If I Cannot Make Up my Mind On What Career I Want?

There is not one carrer I can say I want, which according to my teachers and my parents is imparative even though I am only in the 9th grade.

The problem I am having is I cannot find a career that seems to completly satisfy me. The ones I like are:

Veternarian or Vet Tech
Ultrasound Technologist
Writer
Zookeeper
Lawyer
Kennel Attendant
Chef

They are telling me to make a decision so I can pick my classes. Can I just pick classes that fit into all of the categories?

I want to take:

Culinary Skills
Medical Terminology/CPR-First Aid
Animal Science/Sm. Animal Tech
Speech
Journalism
All the Math, Science, and English I can take

Should I take:

Microbiology/Intro to Health Careers
Intro to Nursing/Human Growth

HOSA- The Health Occupational Students of America Club

Any info you can give me on these careers or what to take to make things eaiser is much appreciated.

I really want to go to culinary school right after high school but im confused on which one is a better school that will teach me the most and teach me what I will need to know to start on a path for a career in the culinary arts.

I’m about to transfer schools after i get my AAs in Culinary Arts. I plan on majoring in French with an emphasis on business but ive never taken french. I took spanish in hs and hated every second of it bc they cancelled french that yeah and i was mad, but i was good at spanish. I just hated it bc my techer was pregnant the 2 years i took it and it was a bad experience. So, for those of you who are or have gotten a degree in french, how is it?
just to clarify for all you jackasses out there… there were 2 spanish teachers and one got pregnant and then the other so it was 1 tormenting class with a hormonal teacher after another.

for my final in school i need to cook a meal ( im a culinary arts major) any way i have to have the entree two sides and a desert the main thing i have to have is turkey. it was the meat i was assigned to use. im trying to find recipes for turkey but all i can find is thanksgiving stuff. the recipes the school provides arent allowed to be used so i am haveing a tough time. if anyone can provide links with some great turkey recipes i would greatly appreciate it.

I’m 15 and im interested in becoming a pastry chef, and i love to bake I’m already known I bake for a bakery in my town and people will ask me to make cakes and all that for them.

I know i’m young but i would like to take baking, decorating courses this summer. To learn more, improve my skills anything that would be useful for the future.

so could you name some places where they offer courses this summer 2008 in Quebec or Ontario. Please or anywhere else as a last resort.

How come in church, if someone is under 21, they can drink some wine for communion. But, in the culinary school, people can not taste wines to gain knowledge. Why is it set like this and I feel people should be able to taste wines in culinary schools.

I’m so in love with my boyfriend. We’re both 18 been dating for a year and we’ve been friends for 3 years and have known each other since we were 6. I’m so happy with him and he is the most amazing person ever, his pure kindness to people, the way he thinks and analyzes things and the fact that he loves me for me and would never change me or take advantage of me or ask me for anything because I’m already what he wants just makes my love deeper for him. Just being around him and when I kiss him my mind just clouds over and I feel as if I have no worries in the world and I can be the best person I can. I’m always comfortable around him and I can talk to him about anything…even when I have my worries if he’s alright and happy. He always finds a way to cheer me up and reassure me that he’s the happiest person in the world with me. I couldn’t even imagine being with anyone else because everyone else just seems to dull compared to him. The best part of this is I know he feels the same way I do. He is more like me and I am more like him then any other people we’ve met before but we also have major differences in our personalities that make us even more interested in each other. We don’t hang out everyday like most couples do but when he do spend time with each other it’s even more fun and relaxing. We’re not perfect but we get along with each other so well that we never fight, we may disagree but that’s always ok because it gives us more things to talk about and debate (Debating is something fun we both like to do). Someday I hope to marry him, after I finish culinary school of course. We haven’t done anything sexual yet because I want to save it for the right moment with him. I’ve had other boyfriends and my feelings for them don’t even compare to the feelings I have now with my love. What things can I do to make sure it stays happy and healthy?

Furthermore.. he just obtained his American citizenship and social security number. He carries with him 5 culinary certificates by Academie de Toulouse France, and all his experience is hard to prove because it wasn’t in USA but in Malaysia and most of them are cooking and managing in his own restaurant. He was a head chef in a student cafeteria with daily sales of 5-6k making a basic salary of 2500 per month when mcD pays 3.50per hour at entry level.

I’m in my mid 20’s.. and here are a few things that interest me.
1.) Helping others with personal problems (not so good with death)
2.) Baking cakes (can’t really bake other food items but can make a cake from scratch a lot of ppl like it)
3.) Professional atmosphere
4.) Sewing .. im good at sewing – I’ve made several halloween costumes for friends and I can hem pants

SO these above are a few things that interests me and that I enjoy doing. I thought about culinary school at le cordon bleu getting a certification in pastries/bakery .. but not sure what I can do with that.
I also thought about nursing school but I suck at school and memorizing all that bs is just too much – I realized school is not for me. =(

Just some background; My g/f and I have been dating for 6 months now and things couldn’t be better (still fresh into it). About a month into dating she wanted to settle down and I, like and idiot, said no. She then started seeing someone else as our contact with each other grew thin. I txt her about it and wished her luck. About 2 months later it really started to bother me, I realized I had made a mistake and when I had gotten back from my birthday trip to Las Vegas she called me. Things were rocky between her and this other guy and I made sure I was there for her as a friend. She then went on vacation and talked to me everyday. When she arrived back she broke up with him and we started talking more and finally started to meet each other out and about.
We started getting close again and started dating- now this time I new not to make a poor decision. When she brought it up to me I happily said “yes, please be my g/f.” She recently graduated from one of the best Culinary schools in upstate NY and was a private chef for 3 years. She has just gotten a new job out in Aspen to be a private chef for the co-founder of a very well-known hand bag company (who I won’t say). So we will have until March to enjoy each others company and then we have no choice but to split. Since things happened so quickly we never had the chance to vacation together or take all of our momentum further into a long, loving relationship. We care very dearly for each and don’t want to say goodbye but we have to. Being that we are left to end things on a high note I feel that there is great potential for the future when our paths may cross again, but in the mean time how do I handle this?

Would you say it was fair that some sort of compensation should be forthcoming.

Let me put this plainly.

A certain party known to us – although I wonder, I really do – has EATEN Hetti. She who has survived abuse by drunken egg raiders. Rape and pillage by rampant Roosters. A failed pop career. She had come back home to enjoy the last of her laying days in peace and quiet.

But no – a motor bike riding bling-ed up Californian muscle bound CANNIBAL has eaten her.

I am distraught – as will be the Big Mac. If anyone was going to eat Hetti – I think MacTealc thought it would be him.

All that is left of our wee bitty bird is the tail feathers that the thieving article laid a false trail with.

Suggestions for punishments please.
