How Old Is Too Old For Culinary School?

17 Sep

I’m 28 years old, and I enjoy cooking and baking and am considering pursuing it seriously from a career standpoint. I’d like to know the advantages and disadvantages of going to culinary school as an adult as opposed to going right out of high school, as well as likes and dislikes of being a chef in general. I’d also like to know if obtaining a bachelor’s degree in culinary arts would be better than an associate’s degree in the long run. Thank you.

Which Is Better? The Culinary Institute Of America In Napa Valley,ca -or- In Hyde Park, Ny?

16 Sep

I just graduated out of High school (yay me!) and I’m really interested in the Culinary Arts. I’ve been to various schools here in California but none has captivated me as much as the C.I.A. Of coarse, I’ve only been to the campus here in Napa Valley, and will hopefully be going to see the Hyde Park Campus, but i want to know which campus is best, being that i will be potentially staying there for four years. If there’s any kind of information such as: If you’ve been to one campus or the other, if you prefer one and the reason, etc.
Thank You so much
& hope to see all the helpful answers!
