I once dated a woman who worked at the CIA. If I had known this is what she was talking about — I’d have insisted we eat at her place. Maybe this is why she wasn’t impressed with Hardees?

Was that roasted SPAM over toasted brioche (kidding, of course)? Nearly a recipe out of your own cookbook.

And my guess is you could also shoot the deer. clean head shot at 200 m. The wine was $60 a bottle, and one was so good we had to have two. Total was $500 for five people, with tax and tip.

Makes me want to go see how our dinner at home is coming along…I’m sure the BBQ chicken will not be unveiled the same way as your meal. Another great day of your eastern expedition with fine weather to boot.

CIA? Impressive. I’m not joking or anything. I’m really impressed. It looked almost true to Escoffier’s intent. I almost don’t dare to ask but: How much was it?

It was about $100 per person, bottom line.

That’s actually not that bad. I once did escoffier style dinner where the menu was about $100…..and the same for the appropriate wine.
