I curretnly live in Ohio but I am thinking about moving to chicago. I would be moving in with my best friend, who lives in the west loop. before I make any serious decisions, I have to check out some of the colleges there. I am not familiar with the chicago area and he doesn’t know of many colleges there because he hasn’t been living there very long. I need to look into some community colleges that will be fairly close. I am probably going to pursue a degree in culinary arts so community colleges or tech schools with culinary programs would be ideal. culinary schools and art schools would also be helpful. thanks!

I am looking at going to culinary school and I’m looking at the Le Cordon Bleu program at The Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago. Does anybody know what the tuition is for the program? Where I can find the information on the cost of the program, etc? It’s not listed on their web site.

What is the best school in Chicago for culinary management.? I’m looking for culinary MANAGEMENT, not simply culinary arts. I’m looking for the trade school or university that will give me the best credentials, and thus the best job potentials to become a restaurant manager when completed. Are trade schools better or university-type schools?
I’m currently finding that, although I have management experience AND restaurant experience, I do not have management experience IN restaurants. Will a degree make a difference??
