question about degree in culinary arts for baking…?
I am a Junior in High School and am thusly looking for a good career bath. At the moment my sister is in school working for a business diploma, and we are planning on opening up a cafe/bakery…she would handle the finances and i would make the goods. For this I would need a diploma in Culinary Arts that revolves around baking. So I know that there are a lot of technical institutes with that, but I would really rather go to a university. I was wondering what universities have culinary arts with baking available… or if they even exist. Thanks!

need help with choosing a culinary school for pastry degree?
I really wanna get into cake designing in the future, does anyone here have any suggestions as to which culinary school i should go to? I have my heart set at Le Cordon Bleu Paris, but I don’t know if that would be the best school for me to go to if I eventually wanna be a cake designer. Please HELP!
thanks for the answer. But money, well of course it is an issue since culinary school is expensive, but my folks are willing to pay for it. and I’m already out of college. I took business to satisfy my parents, and now I wanna do something that I want to do. That’s why I’m trying to research which school has more extensive curriculum for cake decorating

The Culinary Institute of America-2 or 4 year degree?
I am going to the CIA and looking at the course schedule the two year degree and four year degree are almost the same, except the extra years of the four year degree teach you language and stuff. It’s also twice as expensive to go for the bachelor’s. Although the four year degree seems pointless, it looks good on a resume. Would it be worth it to get the bachelor’s?
To be a chef, do I need a degree from a Cordon Bleu/CIA or is a community college culinary program okay too?
Obviously, the Community College option is much cheaper. And I’m a little worried about graduating with 60k in debt and only being able to find a $10/hr line cook gig.

I’m not interested in going, this is for a class in school for education research. I’ve looked at 5 colleges and found nothing.
